I'd agree the finish is sometimes not what you expect from a car costing nearly 45k. The drip trail you're talking about does actually happen on mine too, but not to the extent that I'd say it obscures your view of the mirror (if that's what you mean). A faulty piece of trim do you think, or does everything look like it's in place?

It also took me a long while to get used to the wiper operation... not very intuitive. I know the next car I drive I'll be making all sorts of hard work of using the wipers Wink

This problem is not just on the RRS, I have had other cars where the side windows get easily messed up, cutting down on mirror visibility.

I have the answer though:

RainEx from Halfords, £6 a bottle.

Treat all your glass with this and you'd be amazed how clear the side windows stay. Clearly, if the car is not cleaned for a few weekes and you are doing a lot of miles in the salty washy roads, then they will eventually get very dirty, but I find the Rainex application lasts for months and months and is brilliant in wet weather. Since using it a few years ago I have NEVER been without it, one of the best car products ever made I reckon. L319 D4 HSE

YES OH YES OH YES........... I agree 100% this stuff is brilliant and I use it on all the windows. It definately improves the longevity of a clean window.
