Bluetooth Parrot MultiCan - will it work with RRS ?

I need to get bluetoot installed in my 06 RRS was going to go for the LR option but aside from it being rediclious expensive i understand its total crap.

so I decided to get a parrot system and during my research i stumbled across this

"PARROT MULTICAN

http://www.parrotshopping.com/us/p_parrot_item.aspx?i=149016

Controls the Parrot Car Kits
(For CAN bus vehicles!)
Controls the Parrot Car Kits

The Parrot MULTICAN uses the existing steering wheel mounted commands to control your Parrot Bluetooth® hands-free car kit. There is no additional visible part to install; the Parrot MULTICAN only uses the existing car’s steering wheel control buttons and they will be used both for the car receiver and the Parrot car kit without any interference."

I am wondering if this would be compatable with the RRS, there is no mention of LR on the site but with the mute cable for the stereo being the jaguar one. I am wondering would it be the same for the MultiCan

The RRSs steering wheel controls are resistive ladder (voltage level) based, not on a CAN bus. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

The local LR dealer actually provides and fits Parrots as aftermarket Bluetooth, the vehicle is going in tomorrow for its new Radio (last piece of LR warranty work), i will ask what they recommend and if they have any knowledge of integrating it with the steering wheel controls..don't get your hopes up, i have had questions like "did you put it in 4wd sir" Whistle Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Spoke to the dealers this morning, they do not integrate the Parrot with the Steering wheel controls at all, whilst the Parrot is linked through to mute the radio and use the speakers, that is about it.

Might be worth speaking to an Audio shop/fitter, i find they seem to know more about the electrics more than most..

Cheers

Try justcarkits in the UK.. I highly recommend them.

They gave me all the advice (and the actual leads - which were hard to find anywhere even when speaking to direct to Parrot) for getting my Parrot fully installled correctly.

My car doesn't have PTI, so the buttons are not present on the steering wheel so integration into these was not a requirement for me.. Just integration into the stereo and speakers
