Thanks Steve. I appreciate that.
It is my wife's (her families cottage) project at the moment and her 1st website... She's working hard on it.

There are 4x4 places nearby and we are trying to get them to commit to some greenlaning for the RRS's out there. Will post on that soon. They have offered for us all to show up, but.... probably need a bit more than that. I'll go an see them next time i'm in the area. 2022 P440e AB

You have one truely fantastic "greenlane" route just down the road at Laggan Paulo, the Corrie Yarrick Pass is not far away, there are also some very nice drives in the Rothie Murchas estate that are open to the public.and very suitable for shiny RRS's. I took my FFRR over the Corrie and have taken my 90 across several times. The Corrie is suitable for RRS for at least the 1st 15 miles but the last time I went up the hairpins they were very badly eroded and you would risk danage to your sills on the inside of each corner. Would be happy to come up and go as far as possible with you one weekend if you like. I took my last RRS up to the base of the pass proper at the hairpins in May 2006. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim - This Laggan?
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&hl=e...h&z=11

Where is the route you are talking about? Not sure how you could plot it but....

Routhiemurchus Estate
http://www.rothiemurchus.net/Pages/Activities/4x4-Driving.html
We can just pitch up and go for a drive. Any good / fun day out?
(I've shot there, just didn't know you could drive one's own car on the estate's land).

I'll be up there early April. You back at Sea then? I'm feeling a RRSport meetup brewing! 2022 P440e AB

That is the correct Laggan! If you stay on the road and pass the village on the A86 and about 1 mile pssaed the junction with the A889 there is a small lane off to the right that goes down toward the River Spey, eventually you come to a nice ford that if you cross it will bring you out on the unclassified road that goes west from the village of Laggan on the north side of the river. If you follow the road through Laggan along the north bank of the Spey you come to reservoir, drive along the south shore and evetually you pass Glenshero Lodge and the to Sherramore house (This was were the series Monarch of the Glen was filmed). Follow the road on (it is a proper laid road all this way) to Garva Bridge. Cross the bridge and this is the start of the Corrie Yarrick Pass. The road remians metalled until Megarve bothy when the Wade Military road proper starts and this is where you get to test the rock climbing mode of TR as the council decided a few years back to relay the road and failed abysmally as the first heavy rain washed a lot of the cobbles away. There is another 18 miles of track after this. You need OS Landranger map 401 and 402 to see the area. You can actually see the old military road on that photomap if you look carefully!
The R.M. Forest routes were driven onto straight out of the carparks on the raod up to the chairlifts.
I will be away the first week of April in Hamburg, but will be home after that until the end of the month. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Okay, lets pick a weekend after you get back (Saturdays will be best for me) and meet up. Then maybe advertise a meetup on RRSPORT.CO.UK? 2022 P440e AB

The Pass is rather "sensitive" regarding 4x4's so best not to advertise it - do it by invite over PM as I know that the locals are not keen to have swarms of 4x4's driving over it, and it is an historic monument so you have to be careful not to cause any damage. I'm sure that Alicat would be interested though.
Here is the type of terrain:
