Thanks to 'The Large One' for this info!

*** Detachable Towbar...KNB50013 may have quality issues *

Hey Guys

just had an email ref the detachable towbars KNB500013 for Disco3 and RRS

Seems the manufacturer may have found a potential concern with towbars in batch codes

AC07, AD07, AE07, AG07 or AH07

This note is mainly for new cars delivered to dealers already with them fitted but since quite a few people
have bought from ebay etc which could have different sources i thought i'd give you the info...

They are currently verifying the concern and as of yet no more information but please check your towbars and on the side just under the lock is a cast number and if your number matches the list above speak to the supplier of your towbar as to how they will handle it.....

Land Rover have put a hold on them from the factory also while they check stock so get yours checked asap.

I'll UPDATE THIS POST AS AND WHEN I GET ANY MORE INFO

England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Hi VA, just checked mine (it was a dealer fit as opposed to factory fit) and it has the same KBN code but has X07 on it as opposed to the AC07 etc code.

Any ideas if this needs checking?

Thanks,

Russell. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

KNB50013 is the part number, the second four digit number is the batch number.

VA is correct only recently built vehicles are effected. All vehicles at the factory with detachable tow bars have been isolated and the tow bars have all been replaced with known good parts before being released to the dealerships. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
