This is a guess but have you tried lowering it fully and over running the switch then powering back up - also - do some years have autosense on the passengers side? I have sometimes closed my drivers window on the move and wind resistance has caused the close to stop (it thinking there was a finger in the way)

There is a generic reset process for the car, which I cannot remember for the life of me.... Also couldn't find it by searching, but I know that previously it has been posted by TB - TB, if you're listening, what was it again?

Had a similar problem with a different car, the reset was to lower the window completely and then hold the switch in the down position for 10 seconds, so that it resets the encoder.

Sounds like you may need a new window regulator. I'd be surprised if the dealer has on of those lying around on a shelf. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

For future reference, the reset process mentioned above will only work if the window has lost it's memory. In other words the one touch open and close no longer works. This will normally only happen if the power supply to the window is disconnected while the window is open or partially open.
