If it's all literally embedded in the alloy (whatever it is), then looks like the only solution is to have them refurbed. There's any number of independents that will do this for you.... Wicked Wheels refurbed mine before selling it on, for the princely sum of £60 per wheel. Did a great job too

Kind of think after 1600 miles LR will be getting me a new set as there must be a fault - will ask them to check it out and report back asap "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |

She is in for an inspection tomorrow as not only are the metal filings sticking and seem to be embedded in the alloy, Strathstones Durham seem to think there is a fault with the alloy or lacker as the wheels are scratching very badly for no apparent reason "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.

Mine are doing this too after 8k/6months, I'm going to shove it back at the dealer and get a refurb/replacement under warranty. |

It only took a few hours to get mine all scratched, and I only drove the car onto a grassy track to get some pictures, the 20" wheels are not so tough Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

I live just outside Newcastle Upon Tyne and would welcome any input. When I went to the dealer last week they said one of the wheels had a fault so I was thinking they would come back on Saturday with some sort of answer etc but all they did was clean them and give the vehicle back to me. I called them and complained and they said to take it back again but its a 58 mile round trip and time aint always on my side, but I will not let this drop "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |
