Does anybodys tv in motion stay on if you put the car into reverse? I have just had mine fitted dropped it in reverse to see my reversing camera and it switched off.

And how many idiots compose and send texts while driving? I just cannot see how you can do the two at the same time and watch the road. Things like this is what feeds the movement to have satnav on the move and use of phones while driving banned. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Under Regulation 109 of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, it is an offence to drive a motor vehicle on a road if the driver is in such a position as to be able to see, whether directly or by reflection, a television screen showing anything other than information:

(a) about the state of the vehicle or equipment;

(b) about the location of the vehicle and the road on which it is located;

(c) to assist the driver to see the road adjacent to the vehicle;

(d) to assist the driver to reach his destination.

As the driver you can only have view of a screen for other purposes when you are parked. A lot of Sat Navs will give verbal commands so you needn't look at the map.

As somebody further down said your Censored if you drive past a TV shop then Laughing

This mean you could get away with watching top gear on the move Rolling with laughter

I've got this unit fitted to allow TV in motion via the NAV screen:

http://www.gnetcanada.com/navvideo-models-gnet_gvif_lr.asp

You also need a tv tuner or a video source to make it work. If you have the TV option fitted then there are boxes out there that just unlock the functionality while driving, strictly for passenger use only obviously, and it's still illegal!

There are quite a few threads on this subject, just do a search. Very Happy

Hi,

Did you get this fitted? Does does it work ok? Can you control it from the touch screen if the nav? Is the TV reception good? GUITARS AND CARS - YOU'RE EITHER IN OR YOU'RE OUT!

I'm taking a stab in the dark and saying there's no simple way of 'unlocking' this feature, as in without 3rd party hardware?

Yes you're right but the price is coming done. Look at site sponsor http://www.cat-essex.com who seem to have the module for £180.00. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

TV in motion

Hi Guys,

You mentioned to contact the forum sponsors in order to find out how to get tv in motion and point towards to fact that the capability is already there without me having to buy a £300 lead!

As I am new to the site I have no idea how to do this so would someone mind pointing me in the right direction please?

It is worth mentioning that I do not intend to watch whilst driving but when I am parked up and have time to kill. I literally just want to get the DVD feed through to the front from the rear headrest screens.

Apologies if I have got this wrong but that is what the posts seemed to point to.

Cheers
