Finally registered!!! Nearly there...

At long last, the transfer of registration has been completed.

It has cost us in the region of Euro 5,980 to complete (After being hit with an additional Euro 414 on collecting the plates due to registration and road tax now being based on emmissions, not engine size! D'OH!)

So, removed front plate easily enough, used as template for new plate, drilled holes, re-fitted new plate. Job's a good 'un.

Rear plate.... whole different kettle of fish. Stuck on with what felt like industrial grade superglue. Finally came off, leaving all the sticky strips in place. Bad enough?

Yeah, except the f Censored g stealer we got it from has used 3 vertical strips, each about 3" long and 2 horizontal strips each about 4" long.

Will they come off? Will the hell!

Any thoughts on how to do this without damaging the paint? Tried the old hot water and washing up liquid to no avail! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

see if you can find out what brand of stick stuff they use, and then contact the manufacturer as they might sell a remover.

A Car accessory shop might have something in stock as well

Mate.. had this before..
use a hairdryer.. heat it up, and you can rub the black sh*t off with your fingers.. Quite easy, but watch you don't burn yourself on the heated rubber.
