Removal of rear subwoofer

Hi

Has anybody removed the rear subwoofer? What aftermarket subwoofer would fit in its place?

I believe this has been covered in detail on another forum, however the upshot was its rubbish...

I dont think people could get an effective seal, so the best bet is a box
