iPhones warning

When I was in China a couple of weeks back this year's "must have" phone was already on sale sim-free with the guys that bring the $1 DVDs and cheapo phones onboard, for a measly $150 a piece. No discernible difference between these chinese copy i-phones and what I have seen and read about the genuine item.......................just watch out on ebay if you see iphones for sale simfree - they are probably very good Chinese made fakes - they look like and do everything the real i-phone can do, just they aren't they real thing. They even have the apple logo engraved on the chromed casing but the phones I saw in China all had the same serial number stamped on the back................ The big give-away is the packaging - it's very poor quality paper and cardboard with none of the crispness of the real Apple packaging. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The Chinese fakers are churning them out by the million - there are 1,200,000,000 Chinese who all want to buy these things but only earn $400 a month (if that in many cases) so there is a huge home market to satisfy with fakes before they even get out into the big wide world! If you only want folks to THINK you have an i-phone and don't need it to do all the functions of the real thing then the fakes are actually very good quadband phones with reliable Nokia and Sony guts inside them. 10 years ago you hardly saw anybody in China with a mobile phone, now it is rare to see somebody who doesn't have one. Mobiles have really usurped land line phones in many developing countries that cannot afford to put up the transmission wires all over the place, mobile networks are so quick and easy to create in comparsion, and importantly they are cheap and easy to get back into operation after disasters like typhoons and earthquakes strike, the former especially happen with great regularity along the vast east coast of China 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

From what I've heard the iPhone isn't up to much anyway... there was a thread on it while you were away, Tim. Seems Apple have gone form over function (some might say, as usual).

I decided to buy myself an iphone the other day. Its really good - I really like it. Saved me having to buy an ipod as well.
Ok its a bit confusing at first and it takes some time to get used to the menu system unlike my 8800 which is easy as pie but I really like it and I'm very pleased with it Thumbs Up Michael Potter

Iphone is an expensive Mp3 player only.

The phone functionality is fine, but the rest of the gadget(ry) is pure smokescreen stuff. Wait for the 3G version, EDGE sucks and the WiFi is proving unreliable.

Bluetooth wise, same as any other phone. L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

So it automatically logs into the car PTI when you are nearby?
Mine needs 2121 everytime.

Think I'll get bluetooth upgraded. 2022 P440e AB

I really want an iPhone as now bought a new digi camera so that is one less thing i'm bothered about on my phone.

As I jumped in the pool with my iPod in my pocket it seems to fit the bill - a phone and iPod in one.

Will probably get them over here in....oooh...10 years! Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
