The Scottish Land Rover Owners Club will be holding what they call a Green Road Run on the 9th December. At the moment the propsed route is from Lix Toll near to Killin, via the old railway track to the head of Gleann Dubh. This one is very suitable for shiney's as there are no overhanging trees or gorse bushes close to the trail. The route itself starts just off the A85 about 200m before the Land Rover garage at Lix Toll and is on a proper laid shooting road and disused railway bed. I did this earlier this year in my TDv6 and there are some photos of the route here.

I was about to ask if you are going to swap your 20" wheels but you have already answered that.

I kept hearing tales/ excuses that his tyres had 25000 miles on them and were worn out so he was going to have to convince Mrs DSL that he needed to buy yet another set............................... then he reduced the pressure from the 40psi he had in them back to the normal 33 and suddenly he found a whole lot more grip 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

A valuable lesson was learned re pressures. Unfortunately told Mrs DSL about letting down the pressures, reply was "well now you don't need those fancy tyres!".

I didn't take the RRS Schmoogle, there was no way with the snow that I was going to risk it when I also have a Defender. I'm sure it would coped well with the conditions but it would not have been a relaxing day for me! Maybe when I get the 19's fitted so I don't knacker the 20's then we'll have a go. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
