Hi. My honest opinion is that the TDV6 is just too slow. Change to the V8. |

I won't change for the V8, if it's really lacking power I'll get it tuned at the dealer, he can bump it to 500NM/235HP.

Welcome Phantom. I agree the TDV6 isn't too slow - I had mine chipped at the dealers and it goes really well! It's all very well someone just saying "Go for the V8" but hey, the V8 is nearly £8k more expensive!! and not everybody has got a spare £8k to spend, especially after already spending nearly £48k on the car in the 1st place!! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

If it was only the 8K more for the car, but there is also 2.5K extra for 1st Taxes and 1K/Year supplemental for yearly taxes, and the CO2 tax will make sure that only can only bring 60% of the car in as a company expense.

There's nowt wrong with a TDv6, it has enough umph for most owners, so it's not fast off the line but does that really matter, it's not how you get there that matters, it's how you arrive - feeling fresh unflustered and in decent comfort is my experience of the TDv6. I've bought a TDv8 to rpelace my TDv6 and am fully expecting the ride comfort to be harsher on a car riding on 20" Low profile tyres and with dynamic response than it is on the TDv6 on 18" tyres with a decent side wall and no DR. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The TDV6 HSE comes by default also with 20" now, but that seems to be different from country to country. |
