United States 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue

We had an after market system from Vizualogic (A1250) in the headrests fitted by the dealer. They are simple to use each having the ability to play 2 dvds or share one between the two screens, together with IR headphones and aux jack in. They fitted the power through the headlight on switch...which took a bit of detective work as they forgot to tell me before we drove off...(now I have the Daylight Running Lights activated there is no problem.

Australia 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I had an after market system from NESA. Its a bluetooth touchscreen system (the DVD player sits under one of the back seats and communicates with the two screens (sound comes from FM tuned station). The system works fine BUT the pitfalls have been as follows...

1) The RRS headrest is angled up so the screens are difficult to see unless you're six foot tall or you lower the two front seats down quite a bit - hopeless for my two young kids (we have to raise their position in the back - pain in the ass). I've seen screens around that swivel up and down, but I've been told they are of a lower quality - I can't confirm that.

2) Make sure you get a remote for the system. If you don't, you'll have to operate the DVD menu options via the touchscreens, which is obviously inconvenient.

The bottomline is that I don't use the system other than long trips, which seems a waste. Of course these problems are essentially my fault (the system works great) as I didn't put enough thought into it at the time. With ther benefit of hindsight I would have preferred a roof mounted player (far more practical, but not as attractive) but I gather this is not possible with a sunroof.

Cheers,
Rick. TDV6 / Stornoway Grey + Black / Rhodium / Sunroof / Side Steps / DVD / SatNav / 19" Wheels / Bi-Xenon / Premium ICE / Nudge Bar
