Hong Kong 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange
Got my 1st Ed

Dealer delivered it late last night. Fantastic car, got everything setup already. Bluetooth is really cool. Also finally figured out how to store the reverse mirror angle. And stereo definitely better without Logic 7.

My car is 1st Ed, fully loaded plus rear diff. Cost in HK? US$136k...

Here's a quick (crap) pic:

Cheers

Pictures are not showing up for me for some reason. I think you got the Vesuvius. What do you think of the color? I live in the US and I have heard mixed reviews. Some LOVE the color and some think it is UGLY. Just wanted your thought.

Hong Kong 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

I love it. Have not met anyone so far who did'nt. I got to see Black, Silver and VO all together at the showroom and the VO makes the car look like the original Stormer concept vehicle. To be honest, people could not easily distinguish the black and silver sports from the standard RR.

Now whether this colour will still look great in 5 years? who can tell....

Enjoy it!

And know that I've started driving this car with this color, i've tend to noticed a few more other cars sporting a different shade of burnt orange. I really don't think this color will go out of style. It's so diferent and that's why I love it! RRS S/C Special Edition, Vesuvius

Yup, I've seen a few MX5s in this colour. Plus a Honda CRV. It certainly is special. 2005 RRS SC 1st Edition Vesuvius Orange

Both Land Rover and MG Rover used the same colour back in the early 90's when the MGF and Discovery S2 were luanched, Freelander was also available in what was then called Kinversand by Land Rover and Volcano by MGRover.
The colour was such a slow seller that both companies dropped it after a year. I always fancied an S2 Disco in Kinversand with Ivory leather. There is both a Freelander and a Disco2 in this area with that colour scheme and they look great. One good thing about it is that it will never shown any rust!
The only drawback in our grey UK climate is that Vesuvius cars never seem to look as orange as the Sport in the ads - they look a much more drab shade of metallic brown.... maybe one day the sun will shine and make them orange again. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I agree, now that I have this color, I have noticed a lot more cars having similar colors. I have seen some Ford trucks, Nissan Murano, 350Z, FX45, etc. I think the RRS looks the best though. Very Happy

BTW - Is the US the cheapest place to get one of these? I spent $75,000 US and it seems that that is the cheapest (after conversion) I have seen.
