iphone + LR Audio Module

Quick question - does the iPhone fit in the LR Audio Cradle?

I currently use my iPod Video and that works well, but thinking of getting the gf an iPhone and would be great if it could dock/charge/play in the LR.

Any ideas?

Does the iPod touch fit?

I'd be very surprised if the new iphone fits in any of the old L/R phone cradles. I would imagine the only way to connect the iphone to your vehicle would be via bluetooth. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Or via the iPod USB connector?

Hmmm... neither of those options are very good. The whole point about the iPod module is that you can still see the iPod, and interact with it. The USB is in the glovebox Sad

The module comes with various 'inserts' which convert it to taking all the different sizes of iPod so, IN THEORY, providing the dock connector socket is in the right place, and the iPhone / iPod Touch isn't physically bigger than the 80gb Video, then an insert should/could be available to make it slot in.

Obviously there is no LR specific sleeve, as the iPhone wasn't out, but maybe someone else makes one or someone here has tried the iPhone in the cradle and can say that it works?

Try Denison as they make a "look alike" system.

Unfortunately the Iphone does NOT fit in the module...tried it already, no good. Haven't been able to find an after market module yet either. PJPR

I took the clasp off the top of the Ipod cradle and my iphone fits in the cradle and works perfectly.

Full steering wheel control works fine etc.

I must admit that its not a good fit, but my iphone works ok in the LR cradle.

Its not very secure, but the connecter seems to work ok. .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??
