United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Hi guys i have the VUB501151 blue tooth kit and have installed as far a i can. i have the steering wheel buttons fitted but have a plug on the end of the harness supplied marked up as AMP 962 112-3 and I'm guessing this should go to the amp under the drivers seat?
any help would be good, LR screen locked with LR logo, radio comes on but no sound.

i guess you have the optical fibre going thru the BT module. BT module has no power and this is why screen is stuck on logo and you have no tunes.

If you were to rerouter the fibre back is it was you would get your tunes back

The VUB kit does not actually come with a Bluetooth module .. you’ll need one of those to plug in the 54 pin connector Bluetooth Exchange www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

VUB kit has nothing to do with the fibre optic loop ..

Have you unplugged something on the most loop ? Did the radio work before you fitted the VUB kit ? Bluetooth Exchange www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

Unfortunately it doesn’t make any sense

The VUB kit is for the landrover aftermarket kit .. it has a Bluetooth module .. but the module does not have an fibre optic connector in it

The factory fitted Bluetooth kit has a fibre optic connector on it . Bluetooth Exchange www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk

thanks yes the kit has the module with it but i was informed that it needed the Nokia voice activated module also.
the RRS has voice command fitted and the mic in the overhead light unit.
still not sure where the end of the harness goes or if the Nokia unit is pre0installed somewhere else in the car, its not in the rear DS panel, cheers

Do you have the picture (comic) instructions ?

from

https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix

If you don't PM me your email address as I have it on my computer.

Not that they are easy to understand!

Discovery 3 and RRS electrics are virtually the same

AMP is a brand of connectors used in cars. It don't mean it needs to plug into the amplifier.

I think this kit gets its power from the rear of the cigar lighter.
And has some terminals that plug into the rear of the small connector on the radio.

Does this not plug into the square module that comes with the kit ?

Otherwise, does it plug into the back of the head unit. I can't see the connector pins from that angle.

I think the large LR radio connector should be unplugged and looped thru this accessory wiring and then back to the radio ?

don't know sorry.

suggest you tick off every item on the instructions (starting at 94 for RRS) that you have done.

And look closely at the ones you haven't and tell me what they are.
