Why are you Censored off jasonny ? I think I would be elated, apart from a bit of inconvenience, and providing they don't b**ger anything whilst replacing the engine, it'll be like new again soon. Thumbs Up Did you ask how many D3's have had similar problems?

glad to hear the problem is clear and LR are fixing it - as we all know cars aren't perfect and do need repairs like this from time to time

Hah, there is about a squillion different settings for the chairs so by the time you have your V6 back you might have found the right one! Is the FFRR a TDv8 or a 4.4 petrol? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Timing chain's MISSING? Shocked Shocked Shocked I've heard it all now...

At least it's all under warranty and you'll be floating about in a FFRR for a while.

My TD V8 is still playing up, but thankfully not as badly as yours Shocked

My problem has happened three times now and until it actually happens again and I'm able to drive it straight to the dealers there is nothing they can do Sad

It keeps losing power and refuses to go over 30 miles an hour. Unfortunately it has a habit of rectifying itself after it has been re-started, although not every time.

I'm off snowboarding next month to Austria with 5 of us in the vehicle + kit and a bit apprehensive because when it happens I'll be lucky to get the car up a back garden path never mind the roads to the slopes. Does anyone know if Landrover would compensate me for loss of a days snowboarding or would they expect me to claim on my insurance?

You'd be doing well to get LR to compensate you for something as intangible (to them) as this. Might be worth having a look through the T&Cs on your holiday insurance though.

Good luck Very Happy
