I am getting ready to leave for the weekend to take the wife and 4 year old daughter to see the New York City Ballet's Nutcracker in Manhattan - 300 miles each way. So far I have been getting around 11mpg. Anybody have any stats on fuel consumption for highway driving? |

The SC folks have been getting around 18mpg on a trip, I think. The 4.4 should be a little better than that. Are you still running in? Fuel consumption will get better the more bedded in the engine becomes...

Sorry, not intending to flame anyone, but I drive about 30,000 miles annually and that represented an almost doubling of the price here hence the ouch.

Don't bother G, in September when I was in Jersey City/Hoboken and Pavonia I saw as many of them as Range Rovers, couldn't believe how many there were over there. Seems they are definately becoming a "Folkswagen" and far too bling for a Land Rover owner! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |
