There is an inhibit for it - it's (not joking) on the row of buttons on the dash, where we have been joking about. If you press it in it will silence the alarm and it will stay silent until you press it again or restart the engine.
When I have offroaded RRs and RRS's with it fitted then the first thing I did was inhibit it. PDC also get very confused by cattlegrids................. the cottage that I rent when I go out to the Hebrides off Scotland has a cattlegrid and the approach in down a steep slope.......... as you approach the bars it beeps then a gap and silence then a bar and beep etc.
I was parked in a carpark at the weekend and the car next to me had a "proximity" alarm - every time somebody walk passed it within about 12" it satrted beeping - the kids thought it was great fun and just kept walking within the field.................. could be a rapid battery flattener after a while though! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
