United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I used the Sony Ericson k800i via bluetooth with no problems at all. I have now swapped that for a Nokia E65. Both connect with the car without any problems. I just wish I could access the address book via bluetooth. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I haven't tried to update the bluetooth software Josh, so I don't know if it is possible yet. But it is on my list of things to do. Thumbs Up Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. The guys with Freelander 2's don't seem to have too many problems with the system used in their cars. I wonder why LR just doesn't fit the more upmarket Parrot systems (branded of course!) as they are fully intgrated with the audio, seem to be able to read any version of bluetooth regardless of the age/version and have no problem downloading addressbooks etc and you can either give voice commands or scroll through the list! Well I've decided its either the Sony E K850i or the Nokia N95.

Anyone running these know if they will work with the phone book via bluetooth on the MY08 RRS Question TDV6 - gone

Thanks Jay, hopefully that means the upgraded bluetooth in my sport will link the phonebook. I guess I'm taking less risk if I go with Nokia since I think its a nokia sytem that LR has installed. TDV6 - gone

What is really annoying is that on the LR website there is a link to a PDF that lists all the more popular mobile phones and the extent of their connectivity with the LR system, and it says that the V3i is fully compatible for older VINs but only partial for more recent cars! Why? The Land Rover lists are too big to post in the galleries so here is a link to the relevant section of the LR website

For me as long as the phone book works I'd be happy.

Not bothered about the last 10 calls made as they are more likely to be the numbers in my phone book anyway. That seems to be the only difference between fully compatable and partial. TDV6 - gone

Mine is reading the phone book, but for some reason only a selection of the numbers, not even a group just random names. Some people who have 2 entries for mobile and home, it seems to be picking only the home number......................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

Tim,

It only has the facility to have one number per person. Therefore if you have a friends mobile number linked to his name, then add his home, work etc etc it will only display the first one saved (default). The only way to get around this would be to save as below:

Tim Home XXXXX XXXXXXXX
Tim Mobile XXXXX XXXXXXXX
Tim Work XXXXX XXXXXXXX

And so on and so forth. But it was still like this with the cradles, so its a unit thing not a bluetooth thing.

Lastly, yes it is a Nokia system. If you look in the left hand cubby in the boot of a FFRR (where the nav disc goes) you'll see a Nokia module about the same size as a double CD case.

Why not buy a bracket for the V3 so that you can scroll through your phone book on that whilst in the car? As long as it is secured in a cradle it's legal. TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

Ah well plunge time looks like it will have to be the Nokia N95 8Mb. Here's hoping the phone book works Bow down

My research on the Sony E shows it may be a cheaper option but that a touch screen and fiddly buttons may well go kaput PDQ and thats not what I want. TDV6 - gone
