2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Antitheft/Antitamper number plates

I have read in a magazine about these UK style number plates that will self destruct into a million bits if tampered with, or delaminate if somebody tries to unsrew them from the vehicle. I've tried Googling "anti tamper number plates" but only find one company that "is considering" making them! Does anybody know who makes these plates?

Is it a problem in Scotland

Plates that get stolen tend to end up on the exact same car so that the occupants can committ crime. Somehow I don't see the RRS falling into that category readily................the RRS is more likely to end up in a container heading east without any plates. TDV6 - gone

Not as far as I am aware Josh, but as I was in the DVLA offices today and they seem to be "pushing" them I thought I would ask if anybody knew anything about them 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just another way for the DVLA to get more money out of you if like some you change your plate/car every year you'll need to buy one of these every time as well RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

I believe cloning is more of a problem than actually stealing the plates, and there isn't much you can do about it unless you can prove that the car involved isn't yours. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
