Custom/Cherished/Personal/Vanity Plates

A huge number of RRS's that I see are running on what we call in the UK Private Number Plates, officially called cherished plates here, but in the USA they are also known as Vanity plates Laughing

So do you have a special number plate on your RRS? I don't want to know what it is (unless you want to tell the world) Just interested to know if you have something like your initials or a plate that makes up a word, or is something specific to Land Rovers or even offroading 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I have one on my MG, no words or initials but it does go with the car.

Must admit that I bought RR55 RRR for my RRS and never put in on the vehicle.

So I suppose that was the ultimate waste of money.

If anybody fancies it, make me an offer.........but it must exceed at least 3 Mars Bars! 'Razz' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I bought ST04MER and never put it on mine, but that because they didn't call it Stormer in the end, only the concept car! Embarassed

Mine's also for sale as most forum members know! TDV8 HSE in Java/Ebony with Zebrano Wood, RSE, Hybrid TV, and a few other bells and whistles.

For 6 years I have owned 2 plates - P12 MUD (on my Defender) and P13 MUD that goes onto whichever Land Rover I have as a "proper" car - P13 has been on a Freelander1, FFRR, and an RRS. However for my TDv8 I decided that a MUD plate wasn't quite fitting for a car that I really don't intend to take off-road (well maybe it will get a wee test sometime) so I bought another plate from the DVLA that makes up a word and an abbreviation.......... a bit like this one Whistle Whistle

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

As everyone already knows, the Discovery 3 and Range Rover Sport are built on the same "platform". This platform is known as the T5 platform.

Can anyone guess the single letter and number of my plate? Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Why not? Confused

I've had vanity plates on cars for over 20 years and to be honest as I spend lots of time in London, I really don't want the attention as sadly, that sometimes leads to a tosser keying the car.

Sad reflection on London or certainly the dodgy parts I seem to end up in! ('Cool') .

I've never gone out of my way to have one. I've known people who buy a new car and then transfer their private plate onto it once the plate is no longer "new" i.e. 6 months later. If I was to buy one, it'd have to not be specific to a car though.. I'd be likely to have the plate longer than any car.
