The only reason I could give you for not buying a TDV6 having owned one myself.........is that if you can stretch to it, is to buy the TDV8........ cos you definately won't regret that purchase Very Happy Thumbs Up

Stornoway Thumbs Up TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

reasons not to buy one really come down to the competition and if you like them or not? The RRS has its quality niggles like all makes (although mines not had any problems in 12 months) which you can read about on this forum if you have the time

Other issues (maybe) - off the top of my head

- Lack of passenger side seat adjustment (my wifes main complaint)
- relatively poor Satnav (in my opinion) - again I dont think any manufacturer gets this right anyway)
- seats do feel a bit hard to me on long journeys (only just noticed this recently)
- 50k?

Read through the forum - you'll see all the pros and cons. If I were buying a new car there is only one I would buy and that's a RRS.

BTW of the 2 colours get the Stornoway - black is so last year! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

England 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I have a Java TDV6 HSE, the car is awesome and I got no regrets.

When I decide to change I will go for another RRS though in Stornoway (simply because of personal choice) and the fact that my last 4 cars have been Blick!

Good luck Thumbs Up Java Black TDV6 HSE - Java Grandes Marques 1/18 - Ducati 749s

Nobody seems to like black at the moment although mine was black and I still like it! Thumbs Up

There's loads of reasons why you won't regret it. By reading the forum content you may get the impression that the RRS is an unreliable piece of crap. It isn't really... it has it's common problems but by the same token there are plenty of users here that haven't had a single issue. if you do have a strict budget of £50k, have a small word with member kam100 (PM him or send email to kam@mhasnain.co.uk) and see if he could pull a TDV8 out of the woodwork for you at that price - might just be possible for an ex-demo.

Good luck with it and let us know what transpires Thumbs Up

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

There's a million reasons not to go for Java Black (well more like 40-50k reasons why) but the biggest one is that by a long long way in the UK it is the most common colour (I've heard 50-60% of production??? TB would be able to tell us) so Stornaway would mean you weren't following the herd! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

agree with stornoway right now.. there is a bit of a drought on rr sports right now, but im sure we'd beat the xmas time you've been told! plus there are a few TDV8's around, know of one used and another used HSE TDV6 if interested? or we can get you a good price on a new car? discounted and proper pex offered for it..

let me know, pm me or kam@mhasnain.co.uk, be glad to assist...

Cheers
Kam.
