Yep only vehicle up to "M" registration (and that is M in the old sequence ie. WLB 500M - my beloved long gone Hillman Avenger) can legally use Black/White Plates. 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit |

And very shortly it will be an MoT failure if plates do not conform to the new regs (for vehicles post 2001). They must also have the manufacturer's PostCode and BS No. So no custom logos, fonts, badges, show plates, incorrectly spaced etc Darren Griffin

Not unless they have a correct set of plates that only go on for the mot and get replaced with the flashy ones straight after.... Whats that??? As above I think we have a disgracefully low number of these leading to general driving standards falling all the time and many traffic offences going unchecked as they don't trigger speed cameras.... I have put my car in a number of times for MOT with incorrectly spaced letters on the number plate. It comes back with an advisory point but not a fail....Hee Hee ! |
