Want to invest some money in to other areas at the moment,so the capital that i have tied up in the RRS and other expensive motors will be better used else where. |

Envoy, I think you might be a bit disappointed with the money that's out there available to buy a used TDv8. Best offer I got on my similar spec vehicle was £45k and they said they were doing me a HUGE favour. It is a great car, and there is a waiting list for a factory build slot, BUT, the laws of physics do still apply to any vehicle which costs over £50k new. People buying in that price bracket do want new, and new is worth a substantial premium over slightly used. So my guess is you will need to accept the fact that your time in the RRS will have cost you the thick end of £10k and take comfort from the thought that the same time in many other vehicles with this specification and price would have lost up to double that in the same time.

That would be about £63k at list when new (a whole lot more if it was a Vogue SE), so at least a £10k drop in less than 6 months. And if she bought it from a dealer, I bet the punter who owned it lost even more .... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini Disco 4 TDv6 HSE Ipanema Defender 90, 200tdi CSW |
