First day of ownership... I've had my TDV6 for since 12.30pm today and all I've done so far is parked it somewhere else on the health centre forecourt!!! Too much damn paperwork keeping me tied to the clinic!!! I'm going home very soon so I'll give the beast a thrape shortly. Hope it's more dynamic than the family's prized Disco 3 (great in a straight line on the motorway but rolls like the hills of England during corners! )

TDV6 benifits hugely from being chipped. Mine was done by my dealer. As far as warranty is concerned he assures me that there is no way to tell it has been done. Don't know if I believe that or not but, from my point of view, I bought a brand new RRS from a LR dealer and it was chipped prior to me buying it therefore I'd love to see LR try and wriggle out of warranty! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

it will improve the engine response and reduce the delay that you will sometimes experience between depressing the accelerator and the car actually accelerating - this is sometimes known as the flat spot. It will also improve the overall performance |

some people claim it does improve mpg, however some find no real difference. personally I've not had mine chipped as I'm happy as it is (fingers are now firmly in my ears so I dont get tempted) |

I had my D3 Turbochipped. I found only a very small difference in mpg but there is a huge difference in acceleration.
