Kaine, It may be an import but I wouldn't worry about it. Nikon usually have a worldwide warranty so doesn't really matter where it came from.

Just a quick question for you telescope guys. Do you need to have a tracking motor on your scopes so that you can keep a stable image of your stellar targets. eg. If you are trying to follow the Moon for a shot it would be difficult to track it by hand due to the magnification making it move accross the lens fairly quickly? Or am I spouting complete S:censored:te? Confused

Depends..... Whistle
with the 10" scope it does need to be aligned and tracking or it just blurs, it is 254mm in apature with a focal length of 2540mm (f10)
Getting it aligned and tracking properly is the bit I'm still trying to get right Confused
So far I have no images worth posting from the scope ....
What astrophotographers usually do is take hundreds of short exposures and stack them together as in this one taken with a RCX400 20"

Wow, guys,

So lets see, where shall I start.

Interestingly enough I was talking to a proffessional photographer a few weeks ago about this exact subject and he still reckons the D70 is the better camera

.....<snip>........

He then got all technical on me

.....<snip>....

But the jist of it was that he wasn't considering swapping the D70 for the D80

.....<snip>....

Well that copper fastens my thoughts that I should try to get a D70 for the second body then Thumbs Up

Just one other thing, do you have a D70 or D70s?

.....<snip>........

I have the D70s. Which means I need to make sure it's a D70s I look for. thanks for reminding me Endjin Thumbs Up
