Colin McRae

While formal identification has yet to be made, it appears certain that Colin McRae has been killed in a helicopter crash. This is catastrophic news for the motor-sporting world and particularly in our sphere of extreme rallying. Coming relatively soon after the death from a brain tumour of Richard Burns, his arch rival, friend and fellow WRC Champ it only confirms my unshakable opinion that there is no damned justice in this world. I'm sure Forum members would like to join me in sending heartfelt condolences to his extended family, great sportsmen and women all.
RIP Colin, thanks for the memories. I'd like to have seen you on the Dakar just one more time (coming second! Wink )

One death was bad enough, but to hear his son killed too... very sad Sad

On another sort-of related note, Dave Richards survived a helicopter crash yesterday too apparently Confused
