Merc aren't the bulletproof brand they once used to be.... I bet you'll find as many dissatisfied Merc customers as any other brand. Seems customer service from any marque is becoming a bit of a lost art... Actually, LRCS aren't often too bad - it's the dealer network that seems to fall on it's face.

I find Merc/LR to be as equally as bad on the dealer front normall on after sales/service..

I was always pretty pleased with Webbers - they did Mrs S' FL1 until I recently found Guava.

I'd be starting to think about rejection to be honest.... sending Popham an email is all well and good, but why should it take a complaint to the MD to get anything sorted. This is the major problem. If you rejected, would you go the refund route and get a replacement TDV8?

Rejection is the thing to do. They will give you the BS about it being a characteristic of the car and when they do please ask them where that is listed on the sales blurb. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
