answer: In the f workshop again The knocking is back and to say that it sounds like the front end is going to rip off is an understatement!! On top of that is the juddering wippers, speaker vibration, random low coolant messages and the terrible tyre wear on the outer edge of all 4 wheels (those crappy soft ones).... cant wait to hear the excuse for the tyres? "wear and tear is not the responsiblilty of Land Rover Mr Wokka, but thankyou for contacting LRCS and have a nice day"

said before , they look good but the build and after sales care is not a patch on mercdedes 07 TDV6 HSE, JAVA BLACK,SIDE STEPS,DYNAMIC PACK,CHROME MIRRORS,CHROME BEZELS,COLOUR CODED GRILL & VENTS,TINTS,BREMBO,22"MATT BLACK ONYK.........AWSOME. ALSO SL55 AMG ..

Merc aren't the bulletproof brand they once used to be.... I bet you'll find as many dissatisfied Merc customers as any other brand. Seems customer service from any marque is becoming a bit of a lost art... Actually, LRCS aren't often too bad - it's the dealer network that seems to fall on it's face.

I find Merc/LR to be as equally as bad on the dealer front normall on after sales/service..
Audi and Bmw are a lot better.. Lately Audi really suck up, which is great!!

my car is back and Webbers have done a fantastic job (as usual) the knocking is silent but for how long?

problems with the DR bushes etc - again! Also the tyre wear is down to my hard driving, this is a sport? But in my favour the wear is both front wheels and I dont go the wrong way at roundabouts

Anyway I had sent up a fax to Phil Popham (MD LR) and he has got his senior bods looking into it as the car is averaging 8 days every month in the workshop and infact I am being told to formally reject it!!

But I will let Landrover do the required investigstion into the soft wheels, tyre wear etc... in the meantime I will drive to Cornwall for the weekend and wait for the knocking to return!

But alas, it will be back in the workshop next week for a faulty sensor on the coolant bottle (awaiting part).

I'd be starting to think about rejection to be honest.... sending Popham an email is all well and good, but why should it take a complaint to the MD to get anything sorted. This is the major problem. If you rejected, would you go the refund route and get a replacement TDV8?
