As a lot of guyson the forum know, whenever i pulled away from a standing start there was a big hesitation, it was even worse if you were coming up to a juction and braking, then tried to accelerate away. It was the same in my D3 so i tried a TDV8 and it was the same. Landrover know about it, apparantly it is "turbocharger spool up time" and they have an update to lessen it but not cure it. !st Edition RRS S/C, Black on Black.

Funny you mention it, I remember test driving the RRS TDv6 and I thought it was real unresponsive. But when I had a Disco with the same engine, I thought it was quite good. 2022 P440e AB |

Considering the size of the RRS I find it quite quick off the mark at roundabouts, traffic lights and such. Mid range overtaking up a hill takes a bit of planning though. Haven't driven a TDV8 or SC and my last car was a TD4 Freelander so not had much to judge it against. |

I find that the way to get rid of the flat spot is stick it in Sport before you come to a standstill. Ready for the pull away.

Yep, I agree with Josh. Whenever I need to get a faster response I just knock the Gear Lever over in to Sport and it makes a lot of difference, Much less "Lag". I also notice a difference between my chipped car and the Non - chipped ones I test drove. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

The SC will still have a flat spot every once in a while. It doesn't happen often but in certain situations it does happen. |
