Just back from a pleasant afternoon drive out into the countryside in the Cairngorms where the radio is reporting all the usual suspects for road closures due to snow as being shut! I went as far as Laggan/Dalwhinnie and the A9 is snowless and clear but the mountains look truely wonderful with their coating of snow and the low sun making them look pink and orange.................. pity I forgot to take my camera with me. Anyway this is where I went to:

A mere 220 mile afternoon drive that was well worth the effort as it has been a clear sunny day here, even though the temperature has struggled to get above 2C but that doesn't matter when you are snug inside the Sport! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just heard on the news that Cheltenham and Gloucester and parts of Oxfordshire are cut-off form the rest of the UK due to "impassable roads". I assume it's snowing a bit down there tonight! Laughing They are only impassable becuase they are blocked by abandoned cars that cannot cope with 1/2" of snow......................... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Anti 4x4er and snow

Where are all the anti4x4 folks now when they need to be rescued from their silly ecocars that get stuck in 2 flakes of snow on their silly low friction tyres with dainty treads that clog in next to no time?
They are just so relieved when the Armed Forces, motoring organisations and their local council come out into the middle of nowhere in a big, heavy, safe 4x4 equipped with chunky high grip tyres to dig them out and rescue them.....................................

Ban 4x4's .................... oh yes, but only when it suits them! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

well i don't know how to put a picture of the snow here, so you will have to look in my gallery !!

There was about 4 inches or so in places around cheltenham, but the sport in terrain response " snow " coped well.

7th Dec Scotland

It's grey and overcast here now, but during the night it was very clear and cold. At 0930 in my greenhouse it is -3C and there have been multiple crashes on black-ice in the area so if you driving in these parts take care, even a 4x4 with all the toys cannot stop quickly on ice!

And here is the pic from Andrew's gallery, only a few days late!
