This morning I logged in - from worrrr but had to see to clients .... very busy of course, when I came back to review these new posts [ lots of them since last week ] they had GONE I hadn't logged off ....... Damn computers.. now I have to "wade" through a torrent of drizzel

The forum doesn't allow you to "catch up" in any more than one visit unfortunately... I've fallen foul of this on several occasions. It's worse when you accidentally close you browser, with 58 unread messages to go

Nope - I don't think this forum software does it. There are others out there that do and it's much more useful (i.e. BM3W allows you to catch up over a few visits). You can use Angel's method above to call back the last 24 hrs posts or whatever, but it still forgets the read/unread status of each post....
