United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
Has anyone got a Parrot

No not the feather kind , but the blue tooth hands free

Had one fitted last week only to be told once fitted, that it wouldn't mute the radio when a call comes in,as its supposed to , I would have to spend an extra £100 for some special wiring loom or something similar.
Having spent £200 I am reluctant to spend any more.
Has any one got experience of this.

TurboD - I don't have the parrot on a RRS but I did have 2 fitted when I had minis. £200 seems to be just for the basic system - I paid about £350 to have the system that mutes the radio, but that was 2 years ago. I think the fitter is telling you the truth and a loom is needed. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

Paid £150 to have a middle of the range one fitted to my van, excellent bit of kit.
If I remember rightly the extra wire you need is about £29

I have the 3100 on my RRS.
It came installed at delivery, so bit hard to know the exact price, but I would say around £300.
It has the mute function. '08 RRS TDV8
I converted my diesel RRS to run on an environmentally friendly mixture of caribou fat and baby seals oil

We've got the 3100 fitted in a bunch of company cars.......they are excellent.

Paid about £80 each plus a muting wiring loom, usually about £20, but depends on the make of car. The price is now nearer £70, have a look at:-

http://www.fonejuice.co.uk/products/produc...lAodwWsfMQ

Fitting is not difficult if you have the correct intergrated loom, then its only a switched 12 volt feed needed to activate the system. It uses the phones own antenna.

I think that £150 should cover the cost.......but its all about how gentle you are taking the panels off......that's when the damage gets done. .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

.

I need to get one of these for the new crapmobile... and a new Satnav, but that's a different question. Do these Parrot systems route the phonecall through the in-car speakers as I've grown used to?
