Handling might not be so affected itself, but the ride will doubtless suffer.... and take them anywhere off the tarmac and they'll be ruined. As long as the rolling radius of the wheel remains the same as the mfr setup, economy shouldn't change much - not sure if it's possible to retain the same r/r though with an extra 2ins of wheel.... someone that can do the maths will probably confirm, you'd need very low profile tyres.

The 22" Stormer replicas are fine, go with a 285/35-22. The ride quality doesn't doesn't change appreciably, but the overall diameter does increase. Your sidewall only shrinks by about 0.25", so you're just as likely to ding up the 22's as the 20's. Go to www.rangerovers.net and you'll find hours of reading about this subject.

Shmoogle is right the overall wheel radius will be affected.
I recently did the math ('cause I am considering a set of 22" myself Thumbs Up)

and here are the results:

* Stock 19" wheels fitted with 255/50R19 has an overall wheel diameter = 29"
* Stock 20" wheels fitted with 270/40R20 has an overall wheel diameter = 28.5"
* Suggested 22" upgrade fitted with 285/35R22 has an overall diameter = 29.85"

The formula is easy and goes as follows:

Overall Diameter = 2 X Tire Side Wall + Wheel Diameter
Tire Side Wall = 0.Aspect Ratio X Tire Width

Assuming the Tire size is expressed as follows:

"Wheel Width/Aspect Ratio RWheel Diameter" or 285/35 R22

Having said that, will the .85" extra in diameter put our odomoter off by a lot you think?

Thx Umberto. That is a very useful site. My calculations were extremely close Razz

BTW. I just bought a set of 22" Stormer replicas from OEMSTYLES4LESS (Miami, FL).
Andy was quite supportive and he is shipping my wheels to Qatar as soon as he receives
my wire transfer.

I am now researching tyre options Exclamation

I am taking your advise and opting for the 285/35R22. I came accross the following options:

1- Hankook Ventus ST RH06 @ $300/tyre
2- BFGoodrich g-Force T/AŽ KDW NT @ $325/tyre
3- Pirelli Scorpion Zero Asimmetrico @ $350/tyre
4- Michelin Diamaris 4x4 @ $400
5- Toyo Proxes S/T @ $265/tyre
6- Yokohama Parada Spec-X @ $230/tyre
7- Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR @ $250/tyre

Any recommendations?
