London and the best route

I am sure there are a lot of people who will be able to help with this one.

We are off to London tomorrow to Central London, now we have of course got sat nav, but that doesn't tell you the best way to go and doesn't have inside information as to the best route with the least possible holdups, so your help would be much appreciated Thumbs Up

ps we will be traveling down the M1 but that is all i know at this stage some of my Previous cars

If you are going to Wembley then that is simple off of the M1, well sign posted.
TBH I would just trust the sat nav if you are going in further.
London hold ups change by the minute Rolling Eyes

for starters, dont go down the M1 if you are travelling between 8-10am - road widening between J11-J8 (from memory) will add 30 mins to your journey Evil or Very Mad

from ourside of the world I always go into London M40=>A40 and then turn right somewhere Wink

Cheers Cliff i have to go to High Holborn which is near the Strand and have been told to use the A1 Confused

Kaine using the M40 which would be my preferred route will take me an hour longer to get there from home, as i am closer to the M6 toll that makes more sense to get down South, and faster Whistle Whistle some of my Previous cars
