United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey
More delivery delays

After waiting 24 weeks for delivery of my TDV8 it was then put back another four weeks, then another four weeks and now just when I was expecting delivery next Monday, I've found out it will be at least another three weeks. These dates are coming direct from Land Rover. Someone at LR is taking the p*ss. What with this and the problems with the Dynamic Response I am on the verge of canceling my order. i'm pretty sure I can get my deposit back. What would you do Question Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

Have you pushed them on what the delay is?
With all the cars that LR make every day it does seem rediculous that they can get that far behind.
Is your dealer getting other RRS through?

Belgium 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue

My order (UK) was put through last week and I was given a "rough date" of 2nd or 3rd week in September or aproximatly 12 weeks.
I was told the wait for the FL2 is longer.
and here in Belgium the dealer was quoting at least 6 to 7 months for the RRS TDV8

The dealer, one of the largest in the country, reckons every TDV8 RRS is the same with one customer ordering last February now being told car will not arrive until November. I can understand production getting behind but going by the revised dates they give out, it's almost as though they have not produced any TDV8 RRS's for the past four weeks. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

That may be the case, it has been known for LR to hault production due to a fault that has been picked up in a batch of components or maybe they have even run out of something, again has been known.

Perhaps TB will be able to shed some light on the matter.

I expect also that your dealer knows more than they are letting on.

jo,

TB recently posted that there are no production delays on the RRS - when your dealer says the information is coming straight from LR, can you ask them to forward this confirmation on to yourself. I experienced a delay due to a quality hold on the line however this was only for 2 weeks. I'd say your dealer is taking the pi$$ and not LR

I wonder if there are still delays on the TDv8 engines, that was the cause of the delays earlier in the year. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

I enquired about a TDV8 with my dealer on the 10th June, and I am getting a MY08 TDV8 Java black mid July. Cannot see how you are waiting so long.

I guess it would depend on what they have on the line at the time and what has been built already, mine is a bit of a "one off" as it is UK spec but with left hand drive plus a few toys.

Apparently Land Rover are cutiting UK dealers allocations and have even pulled back confirmed order build slots, thereby shoving every other confirmed order slot that dealer has, back one step further down his allocation build dates. These build slots are then being reassigned overseas - mainly to Russia. I wonder if this underhand practice is a directive from the parent company in America. If so I can only hope Ford finds a buyer with more honour. This underhand practice is just plain GREED. Even Porsche don't pull this trick on their loyal customers.

I certainly don't understand how a UK dealer can take an order in June and deliver a RRS TDV8 in July - unless it was a cancelled order. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.
