Prom/RRS

Hi Chaps,

I'm appealing to your younger days here Mr. Green I was going to be using a friends FFRR for the journey to and from my prom (Henley). Its approx 12 miles from me, so there and back basically via beaconsfield.
Now because his dad owns the car his dad is not letting him do this.

Soo....I'm asking if anyone would want to volunteer their RRS for the day Very Happy Now I would rent one etc BUT here is the big but...because I'm not 21 no insurance company will take me for a day. I've offered anywhere up to £100 for a day and they said no.
Now if anyone would like to make my prom night a fantastic one which would include me Bow down Bow down Bow down Bow down to them for a million years then let me know Mr. Green
No seriously this is a long shot but for me insured for the day on the FFRR TD6 is £43. The RRS is 1 group lower and the insurance company (friends) said that it'd be around the £35 mark.
So if you know of anyone who would be willing to do this...I can drive wherever, leave my car and drop it back the next day no problem but if you know of anyone who's willing then let me know.
Its thursday Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Any help would be really appreciated. If worst comes to worst I'll take my 5 series but...its just not the same Crying or Very sad Michael Potter

You could always hire the stretched one that has appeared on here recently........................ then there's no problem with the driver's age and you would get the whole class in there and you could get loads of booze down your neck too without worrying about the car!! There again maybe you don't want everybody to think that its been hired by a bunch of 15 year old Essex Girls on a hen night 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Prom.. Henley.. already got a 5 series. How times have changed.

Why not hire a limo so you can at least get wasted.

I think u hit the nail on the head their tim. And besides...I'd much rather drive a rangey and be sober watch everyone else get hammered then me drink.
I'm really picky about my drink, Tsingtao, Corona (v.few), Magners or Vintage Dom Perignon.
This is also a prom for 17/18 year olds so I want it to have some class to it. Michael Potter

When I finished school there were police on every corner to quash any trouble quickly Laughing My class was invited to my form teachers house for an informal party (where we all got wasted) but that was it, the school could not wait to get rid of us Razz

As the others have said, get some kind of Limo, even if you don't want to get drunk it would be a shame not to have a drink or 2.

Have fun Very Happy
