OK, so I'm having a hard time deciding if I want to get the supercharged version or not.

I don't really care for the extra power as it's a SUV and I'm not that worried about 0-60 or anything. The main reason I was thinking of getting the S/C is because it comes with the Dynamic Response system. If I wanted the Dynamic Response system on the non-S/C, I would have to get the LUX package too, which would put it only ~5K from the S/C version anyway.

So, I guess the question is...does the Dynamic Response system make much of difference?

I've had the TDv6 without dynamic and now the TDv8 with dynamic. Can't say I noticed a huge difference in the handling department. I imagine if you drove them back to back you would feel quite a difference, but you very quickly get used to what you have. If you don't want the SC because this is an SUV, then I would say you also dont need the Dynamic. Without Dynamic the RRS still handles very well indeed, comfortable and assured - so save your $$$'s and get the standard set up. RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Totally agree with smarticus, and my old TDV6 didn't have it whereas my TDV8 does and i did initially notice a big difference, but it is something that you get used to very quickly, unless you are driving your car quite hard around sharpish bends then i wouldn't bother spending the extra money required, Just IMHO  some of my Previous cars

What about the braking power with the Brembo brakes? Does it make for much of a difference?

Interesting comments, lads and I'm actually glad to hear that.

I have test-driven a TDV8 with dynamic pack a while ago and could feel the difference but as you say, I was not sure about whether the improvement of the car's handling would be something I would really appreciate enough in the long term.

Til now I have therefore refrained from signing on the dotted line and I am still hanging on to my humble TDV6.  SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

Brembo's definitely add to braking power, but the non Bremos never felt under braked to me. With Brembo's you just press slightly less hard on the pedal (unless you forget and press a bit too hard - when everything in the car tries to leave by the front window screen !).  RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

yes is the simple answer, the Brembo brakes are excellent and are a big improvement on the standard brakes, but as Smarticus said the standard brakes are good for the job.

The differences between the car with the Brembos and with the DR and the standard car is very noticeable but the standard suspension and brakes do the job very well indeed and don't detract from the overall drive of the car  some of my Previous cars
