WATER RINSE SYSTEMS another longer term option

I have just had a very good conversation with a firm called RO man.
Went through with him what we are after, basicly they do deionization units (this is what ionics are) but in a larger and long term far more cost effective method.

You buy a 11litre vessel and then you buy the resin to go into it, this makes it a very large 0ppm Aquagleam / ionics filter that will last a lot longer and that you will just be able to fill with more resin as and when required.

The vessel is up at £75 on the site but with enough numbers he could get it down to around £55
10 litres of Resin is £35 (no room for movement) shipping would be on top.

This guy really knows his stuff and there are a few other additional options also.

He is willing to come onto the forum to answer any questions you might have.

I will email him the link to this thread.

That is fine VA but some of us prefer a finer finish to the paintwork rather than the Albanians dirty sponge that scratches like crazy.
Personally I would not let them within a mile of my car Laughing

Got an email from RO Man

Certainly makes sense in the long term just depends whether you want the initial cost.

Hi Cliff

I have had quick look at the forum, are you a moderator/owner?

Resin containers... 11 Just to confirm, if you looking at 10 units plus we can sell these for around £55 each plus shipping.

Resin:-

The other make system on the forum, holds less resin and is use once unit..

Our resin should yield you about the same quantity if not a bit more pure water but this yield is very dependant on water quality and the exact chemical make up of the water

We measure water in TDS. High TDS being hard and low TDS being soft some info on TDS here:-

http://www.ro-man.com/faq-pro/?action=category&cat_id=001

I gave you some life expectancy fugues on the phone for the life of one litre of resin, here a a 10l life

10 l @ tds 50ppm would give you around 6000l of water
10 l @ tds 150ppm would give you around 2000l of water
10 l @ tds 300ppm would give you around 1000l of water
10 l @ tds 400ppm would give you around 750l of water

I see the other product is £40, on offer, this may make 300

Our resin is NOT colour change.. colour change resin is unreliable, it can take up to 10tds to change. In some resins the colour change part takes up space a will not change the TDS so in 1l of resin you may only get 80-90% resin that will absorbs TDS. So this brings on the Question how do you know when to change my resin? The simple answer is a TDS meter, these are less then £15 but you know you water filter Is working if you have one.

Bottom line..

I think our units would have lower operating cost in the long term, as they that must hold 2 X more resin this would cost £28 to fill when you get a 25l bag form us @ £70, in real terms it would be like paying £14-00 to refill the other product.

Looks ok to me and does work out cheaper than the Ionics system in the long term and saves disposing of the throw a way cartridges and thus saves the planet.

So I'll be the first to say potentially yes to :-

1 x 11 litre vessel @ £55
1 x 25 litre bag of resin @ £69.95
1 x TDS metre @ £14.25

Makes a total of £139.20 TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

We will need at least 10 to get the saving on the vessell
Those prices are plus shipping of course and that could cost a bit because of the weight of the resin.

Ah that could well work out a lot more expensive in the long term than the free pp and next day delivery from Ionic Systems. Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry

So think I will continue with Ionic for now. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
