Have just ordered a TDV8 and was also looking at the options list from LR which says that the Underbody Protection option and the Winch cannot be fitted to the S/C and the TDV8.

It may have something to do with the Adaptive Cruise Control. Not one hundred percent sure, but I'm sure it has been discussed before.

No ACC as standard on the TDV8 here in OZ - so that shouldn't be the cause Just a white TDV8 with a few extras |

Front shield and winch interfere with airflow to the intercooler (as well as with ACC, if so equipped), which is why Land Rover says these accessories cannot be fitted on a Supercharged Sport... We don't have diesels here in the US, but I can only assume that the intake for the intercooler on the V8 diesel engine may be located down there as well... |

We are starting to have a similar problem over here(as discussed in my local last night)badgers, protected now so we are seeing more and more killed on the roads out in the sticks than ever before, while i don't condone the unesscary killing of our wildlife, it does need managing or the poor suffer (plus it makes a mess of the car) by the sounds of it you have a much bigger problem than we do, it doesn't stop me taking the RRS out at night but it does make me more careful on the lanes WD, you just cant get the decent friends and neighbours anymore like you used to I wonder why you cant get the added extras that you want for the TDV8, come on TB enlighten us some of my Previous cars -------------------------------- P38 Range Rover Autobiography RRS 2.7 HSE Silver RRS TDV8 HSE silver FFRR Vogue black Disco3 HSE silver RRS 2.7 HSE silver RRS 3.0 HSE BALTI BLUE ______________________________ current vehicles RRS 3.0 L494 Autobiography Audi R8 V10 Spyder AC Cobra Landrover Defender 90 Landrover Defender 110 Suzuki Jimney |

WD all is not lost though, because LR ran G4 Freelanders with a PORTABLE Warn winch that could be fitted into a US style square tow hitch receiver at the front and at the rear. This also happens to be the same system as fitted to the FFRR in the UK if you opt for the removable tow hitch. It cannot be beyond the wit of a competent engineer to fit a similar system to an RRS.......................... also is there any reason why winches are mainly fitted at the front, I have seen Land Rovers with rear winches and by fitting a square receiver at the back you wouldn't need to have your winch out front compromising pedestrians or getting in the way of the ACC. The winch receiver for the G4 Freelander was made by Mantec in the UK
