makes me wonder if mine is broken too then - a few months back I managed to drive 20miles with the bonnet not latched down (after I'd checked oil and water) - wife noticed the bonnet rock, so stopped, checked and closed it properly - never had a warning or beep at all - I'll check tomorrow |

The bonnet not locking down properly requires a dealer visit to re-align (usually the nearside)latch - I think my first post on the forum after taking delivery of mine on 8th June 2005 was about this very thing! I had mine pop up at 30mph but Autocar were road testing an S/C and their one lifted at 125mph! The way round it is to make sure that you SLAM the bonnet closed and then press it firmly down to check as well. It has never happened to mine since then. I also got my email about it published in Autocar! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
