Lakeland Land Rover in Kendal/ Penrith sell to forum members at a discount IIRC. You could try them to see what they could do on an internet purchase. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I watched a set on Ebay last week. Pick up only from Leeds and went for £300 in the end. Which you may think is cheap compared to £428 from the dealer.

But I didn't bid in the end because:-

a) Dealer would have charged me at least 2 hours or more labour to fit them. But on my new car this will be FOC at PDI. Which would have meant they prob would have worked out more expensive.
b) Seller wouldn't arrange courier/post at my expense.

So decided not really a good deal. I'll wait. Wink TDV6 - gone

Side Steps

I had a set put on by my local dealer (Northampton) and they only charged me £515.00 including fitting. They had to order them and then book my vehicle in but they were fitted within 1 week. They did an excellent job, charged me exactly what they quoted and I think they look great!

Cheers.

Thanks Tim. This is the first time I've been bothered to join a forum for whatever car I have and I am very impressed with the standard of the forum, the content of the posts and the helpfulness of the members.
