2nd service yesterday

Our RRS went into Limassol yesterday for the 2nd service.

Now, the 1st service was at 14,000 miles.

The second one was due at 19,000 miles (Over here it is 5k mls/8k kms)

When I picked it up, it looks like they have done exactly the same service as last time (LAST SERVICE/THIS SERVICE):

OIL SERVICE @ £35.00 / £37.00

ELEMENT OIL COOLER @ £5.10 / £5.15

OILS/LUBRICANTS @ £46.00 / £38.00

this service only ELEMENT ASY-AIR CLEANER £11.20

Now, as they seem to have done pretty much the same thing twice is this correct?

I see people on here grumbling about the cost of servicing but the first service cost £114.00 (GBP£139) and the one yesterday £105.05 (GBP£128).

Is this right? Or is the next one at 24k going to be a biggy? Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

I never got that far with mine... but at just over £100 per service who's complaining? Wink It costs 3x that over here!! Shocked

Does the service book detail any differences between services (that is, where they stamp them)?

No, this is the worry.

It looks like they have done 2 oil services.

When should a 'A' or 'B' service be done?

If it is done at the next service then this will be 24k miles before the 1st 'Proper' service!!! (With 2 oil services in between) Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Maybe LR do condition based servicing now? BMW have recently changed their servicing model from the Oil Service, Inspection 1 and Inspection 2 services to being condition-based... i.e. they do what is required when servicing time comes. It works out a bit cheaper that way too... my first service is due soon (at 18k) and it will only cost me £185 apparently.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Mine had it's 2nd service 3 weeks ago, I posted another thread about it and what was carried out.............. it's here somewhere, probably for a date around the 2nd May

It's here http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic6458.html

I suspect that apart from the brakes, it was an oil change and lubricating service with an anticorrosion check and a car wash on completion. Maybe Salesman can find out what a 2nd service should entail 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
