Australia 2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Stornoway Grey
QUARTER MILE TIMES - Supercharged - OPEN FORUM

So I recently took my 07 Supercharged to a drag strip, and I thought it would be a great idea to compare people's times on this forum if anyone else had done it?

I was about to type my best time, but I want to see if anyone else has a time that they would like to post, just in case I was a c**rap driver and got a slow time.

Rules of this post:

1. Must be supercharged
2. Any year make is applicable
3. Must post the print-out to verify it
4. Must post if any performance mods have been done to car

Let's see if there are any differnces in country specific tuning that affect times.

Just waiting for my S/C to be cleared at the port and when there's drags going on I will time it as well....

I would estimate that you ran out of fuel before the end of the 1/4 mile Laughing Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Ok so it seems that nobody else is taking their Rovers on the track, but instead taking the kids to school in them... What a shame.. Smile

So the quickest time was 15.334, and I couldn't get anything better than that.. No matter what crazy tricks I tried (i.e. tilting the sunroof up!!) Believe me, I tried everything..

I suppose we couldn't have one thread without at least one jealousy joke about the S/C's fuel economy.. Wink The path of least resistance is an easy path to take... Wink

Any more times??? Anybody???

Could it be because most of us in Europe run TDv6/8 RRS's and couldn't bear the embarrassment of trailing a big black cloud round a race track.

RRS S/C does hold one speed record - for the fastest circuit of 'ring in Germany in mid winter - it is still the only car that the operators of the track have ever allowed to drive the circuit when it was covered by several inches of snow, when the track is normally closed! I think the record attempt was shown on Top Gear a few years back but cannot find it on the TG website 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Finished at 147 km/hr... Not sure what the conversion is back to miles, I think it's divided by 1.6 which would make it 91.875mph...

Anyone else yet?

No, but I'll have a go tomorrow. Bought a Racelogic GPS PerformanceBox the other day which is in the back of the RRS so I'll see what it says on the way to work. Very Happy

One run, with a 1 foot rollout, was:

Accel Distance results
Distance() Time(s) @Speed(mph)
0-60' 02.3 30.3
0-1/4mile 15.4 92.2
0-1/2mile 24.3 109.8

One run, without the rollout, was:

Accel Distance results
Distance() Time(s) @Speed(mph)
0-60' 02.8 30.4
0-1/4mile 15.8 92.9

0 - 60 mph was timed at 6.7 seconds, which is close to the 6.6 quoted.

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Giverney Green

I have a 2006 range rover sport S/C with Arden pully from 13.1 PSI to 16.5 PSI and Full Exhaust system added, (there was no ECU upgrade yet at the time i did it), but i think with the ECU i can get better numbers..

as far as the 1/4 mile I got 15.10 (first run) at 98 mph

as far as the (second run) I got 15.03 at 102 mph

I think with the ECU upgrade will be able to go down to the upper 14eens. but man i tell you, this car is so heavy it just needs some diet. I also remember doing these times without removing the spare tire which weighs alot. so you might wana try that trick too....but at the end, I'd say it has one of the best transmissions after the BMW M6 SMG ....which I love to drive during the summer....hehe... 04 BMW 745Li/ individual edition
