2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Buying a small digital camera

I currently have Fuji F700 digital camera which is nice and small and produces superb quality photos but it has thrown a electronic wobbler and Jessops don't think it can be repaired. As it is only 3 years old this is rather disappointing but a sign of our throw away society I suppose. So I'm looking for a pocket size digital replacement that must have decent video quality like the F700 had, a tripod mount (so I can run it on a special mount in the car windscreen when off roading), optical zoom and high resolution. I don't want an SLR digital because of the size/weight and the need to carry a load of lenses around when I travel. Anybody got any suggestions/ recommendations? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I know nothing of cameras Tim, but we have a Canon Ixus 60 which takes great photos and does decent video as long as you have the storage obviously. I'm not sure if it has a tripod-mount though... Confused

I have a 2x4gb memory card for the F700, that allows about an hour of video on each or a couple of 1000 photos at moderate resolution! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

As a small pocket camera the Canon Ixus range are one of the best. They have mpeg & tripod connection. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

2007 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Rimini Red

My sis gave me the assignement of finding her a small camera. After a little research and asking around I recommended Canon PowerShot SD900 (Digital IXUS 900 Ti) for her. It has a 10.0 MPs and the build quality is excellent (a friend just bought one so I checked it myself).

You can read the review about it here

I ended up with the latest version of the F700 (the image sensor had given up, was going to cost £124 +VAT for Jessops just to look at it, and then the boffin reckoned another £200 for a new sensor!) So I have bought a Fuji F31fd which also means that I can still use the spare batteries and large capacity xd cards that I have from the old one. I don't need to load any new software onto my laptop and also Jessops now have their own free version of photbucket picture hosting with FREE printing of any photos............... I heard times were tough for Jessops at the moment, didn't realise they were that tough as I also got 20% discount on the price of the camera. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
