thinking of getting a road angel plus - before i buy, just wanna know if they work in the middle of the windscreen in the RRS

This was a frequently asked subject in the early days of the RRS so a search using Road Angel should turn up something. I f I remember correctly there was an issue with the heated front screen and Road Angel that required an external/ additional antenna. I have have an Indigo and that works OK in middle of the front screen and also with the flexi arm mounted in the front section of the front cupholders as well. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

just got the Road Angel Plus (battery builtin) with the external aerial.... stuck that up by the mirror, black side inwards (they say it should be outwards - but that ugly). Works perfectly

Aquires signal in under 2mins - 30 secs if you wait before moving off.

I got a Road Angel Plus now, works perfectly in the centre of the window - no need for external airel which is great news!!!!!!
