The spec states a wading depth of 27.6inches (0.7 Meters)

Has anyone done more or tested the treshhold. Going thru mud - what is max anyone has done it at.

There is a conflict over this - I read in the spec sheets from the dealer that indeed 70cm is the wading depth, which is 20 more than a D3 which seems odd, however the guys at the local Land Rover Experience assured me that it is only 50cm but when I challenged them they could not produce the paperwork where it states 50cms!

It would seem odd that an RRS has more wading depth than a D3 seeing as under the skin there isn't that much height difference 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Off Road wading depth of a D3 is 700mm too. Page 311 of the manual

Although it also notes:-

"It is essential to change oil much more frequently if the vehicle is operated under severe
conditions, especially if deep wading is carried out."

My local LRE also said that the D3 does drop the ride height at high speed - it does!

The owners manual says normally wading depth is 490mm and 540mm in offroad height.

The contradiction is coming when you read the offroad driving manual (or the advertisement booklet of RRS) where it is stated that wading depth is 700mm in offroad height.

My manual says 700mm wherever I look, and I've been deeper than that, unintentionally

70cm is the static depth. If you sat your D3 or RRS in 70cm of water for a few hours, all the essential systems would remain functional.

Driven correctly you can wade at greater depths than this for short periods. Have had water across the front edge of the bonnet on my D3 countless times with no difficulties. One of the benefits of living a couple of hundred yards from one of the better fords in the UK  Two lives - lived one
