range rover 3.0 td6 2005 vogue 4 wkend!

hi guys just posting off my mobile. Home internet is dwn right now. Have borowd a ful fat td6 rr vogue over the wkend and thougt i shud post my comments about it. Its an 05 plate faceliftd vogue in silver with black leather. Wantd a v8 diesel or petrol but had no choice. However im mightly impressed. The nice wel built int. The extra toys, the presence etc and the engine stil goes well. Sounds bit of a tractor but logic 7 covers that well. Reverse cam is gd as is the steering whl heating and the parking heater/cooler. Fuel cons average 26mpg. Am realy hapy with the car. The looks u get and although a conservatory on wheels is nice cruiser especialy 4 family. The one i have is stil quite bland no frils ext wise bt its stil a fat status symbol whch is hgly aspird to here in uk mre then anywhere. Puls quite nicely and i have to admit when rruk chopd in his sc 4 one i did thnk whats he doing! But i thnk i understand nw. Lot of car 4 the money! Im thnking a v8 diesel mayb on my wishlist going fwd. Pics to folow. Sory 4 shorthand have just txt a book above so give me a break!

The TD6 may not be the best but the rest of the car is superb, I LOVE mine and really feel like I'm in a 'real' Range Rover. The FFRR has the heritage, I see the Sports all the time on the road now and I can't say I feel like I miss it that much or envy anyone in one.

You have to live with a FFRR for a while to fully appreciate it, then you see the reason they are known as the flagship model...simply superb. I only miss the cornering and speed of the RRS SC, the rest is not as good as the real deal....sorry chaps, I know thats bound to upset the apple cart. L319 D4 HSE

RRUK,

Nearly every person I speak too who have owned a FFRR says the same - we looked at one before the RRS - I'm quite keen on a TDV8 RRS, however can honestly say I'd consider a FFRR - I drive slow in the RRS myself anyway, so the cornering speed wouldn't be a prob for me

Hey, I AM old and even I still think the FFRR is too much of an old man's car. Sure, bags more luxury and a technically superior car.., but looks bulky and lacks contemporary style. Whistle MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Absolutely spot on Brian, If they would change the exterior design slightly, making it look sleeker and not so bulky, i would have one, i personally think that they have got the shape right on the sport, shame its big brother doesn't follow suit

i read somewhere on here that the new FFRR isnt being launched for another three years, by then the old one will be truly outdated.

All IMHO off course Whistle some of my Previous cars
