On my recent trip to Ashford (to do my Landrover Experience) there were a numerous roadworks on the M20 and the navigation system routed me on a detour to avoid them - I chose to ignore them but it seems to work. No alerts about speed cameras though.

TMC will automatically give you messages if you have an address listed in your GPS and will probably give you an alternative route to avoid the delay. Otherwise it will show up on the map and you then press the appropriate icon on the screen which will then post further details of the pending delay. If you want GATSO/Speed camera details, then you will have to buy an appropriate unit as it is not available through the LR system. I’ve got an Origin B2 2 which works well. |

Yes I think you have to have a route planned i.e. a destination you are heading for, if you are just viewing the map it can't take you on a detour (as it doesn't know where you are going) L319 D4 HSE
