Apparently it's environmentally friendly to scrap all cars when they reach 10 years old?

Absolute tosh, what part of building new cars to replace all the (otherwise good) 10 year old ones and shipping

a) the new cars, and
b) the scrap steel

around the world is environmentally friendly?

I truly believe car and motoring enthusiasts of any type are doomed. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!
